This ready-to-hang ornament can be hung by the ivory or silver ribbon (your choice) on your wall by using a standard picture hook, or it can be hung from a stand as an accent piece for one of your tables. The Sand Dollar is approximately 3″ wide x 3 1/2″ long. Hover over image to zoom in for a more detailed view.
Some Christians attribute a spiritual meaning to the Sand Dollar. The five slits in sand dollars are said to represent Christ’s wounds during his time on the cross. On one side of the sand dollar is what looks like an Easter lily with a star in the middle, which serves as a reminder of the birth of Christ. The star of Bethlehem is the star that the shepherds followed to see the baby Jesus, according to the bible. On the opposite side of the sand dollar is an outline of a poinsettia, a flower that represents the Christmas season.
Note: Your item may differ slightly in color and shells included because each piece is individually handcrafted with shells chosen to highlight the beauty of the piece.
